In 2011 ER-Telecom doubled the number of its telephony subscribers
Russian telecom holding ER-Telecom (Dom.ru brand) has connected its 250 thousandth subscriber to the urban telephone network in the residential segment. In 2011 the number of this service users doubled.
The Company has secured a significant increase of telephony subscribers by cost-effective bundled offer (together with high-speed internet and cable TV) as well as organic growth: in 2011 the telephony service was launched in 11 cities.
ER-Telecom launched the telephony service in 2006 in Perm, which allowed the company to offer the full-fledged triple play bundle (internet, cable TV and telephony). Currently the service is available to the citizens of 27 Russia cities, in 2012 it is expected to be launched in 12 more cities.
The telephony traffic of Dom.ru grows 5% each month to exceed in December, 2011, 70 million minutes. Local calls account for ninety percent of the traffic, while 10% is represented by long-distance and international calls.
The number of fixed-line telephony subscribers in our country is decreasing. Leveraging the potential of its telecommunication network ER-Telecom has expanded the capabilities of this service, making it very convenient and cost-effective. «We are glad that our subscribers appreciate the benefits that we offer», comments Tamara Merzlova, manager of CJSC ER-Telecom Holding PR-service.
